Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about P2P trading, escrow, fees, privacy, data handling, and activity-dependent verification.

Getting Started

What is CoinExchange.Cash?

CoinExchange.Cash provides wallet-based peer-to-peer cryptocurrency tools. Enabled assets, verification, custody, escrow, limits, fees, and availability depend on the selected live route and legal requirements.

Do I need to create an account?

Wallet-based features do not require a traditional password account. Some activities or connected services may still require contact details or identity verification.

Is KYC required?

Wallet-based access does not guarantee eligibility or reduced verification; checks, limits, and availability vary by activity, payment method, risk, connected provider, and jurisdiction.

What wallets are supported?

CoinExchange.Cash supports cryptocurrency wallets including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom, Exodus, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Ledger, and others via WalletConnect where available.

Which cryptocurrencies can I trade?

You can trade supported cryptocurrencies across supported networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Monero, Dogecoin, XRP, Cardano, Polygon, Avalanche, BNB, DAI, Arbitrum, Base, and CXCash where available.

Trading

How does P2P trading work?

Sellers publish offers with stated prices, payment arrangements, and terms. Buyers must verify the live offer and independently confirmed escrow funding before paying; release, refund, dispute, and recovery follow the displayed route terms.

What payment methods are accepted?

Sellers choose from supported payment arrangements and set their offer terms. Available options vary by location, counterparty, provider rules, and current product support.

Are there trading fees?

Applicable platform fees, network gas, spreads, and provider costs are shown or described in the relevant flow. Costs vary by chain, service, and counterparty offer.

How long does a trade take?

Completion time depends on the blockchain, payment arrangement, counterparty response, confirmations, and any dispute or verification review.

What happens if there is a dispute?

Eligible trades may provide a dispute process and evidence review. Arbitrator availability, signer authority, custody, release, refund, split, and recovery depend on the verified funded live route and displayed terms.

Security & Escrow

What is 2-of-3 multisig escrow?

A 2-of-3 escrow is designed to require two authorized signers among the configured participants. Do not infer that a CoinExchange.Cash route is funded or usable from the label alone; verify the live implementation and signer requirements.

Does CoinExchange hold my funds?

CoinExchange.Cash does not take unilateral custody of P2P escrow. Funds are locked in the applicable contract during an active trade and require two authorized signatures to move; users remain responsible for wallet and key security.

How are my private keys protected?

Private keys remain in the user wallet. WalletConnect and injected providers submit user-approved requests; users should verify the destination, contract, network, and transaction details before signing.

Is my identity stored?

The platform minimizes identity data for wallet-based access, but security logs, dispute evidence, transaction records, and legally required information may be retained under the Privacy Policy. Connected providers have their own retention practices.

Private Swap & Send

What is Private Swap?

Private Swap is designed to reduce direct public linkage between supported inputs and outputs. Privacy depends on the route, implementation, wallet and network metadata, retained records, and user behavior.

What are the fees for Private Swap?

Private Swap charges a 0.5% service fee plus network gas fees. This fee covers the service and all relay/hop costs.

What is Private Send?

Private Send uses supported privacy technology to reduce publicly visible linkage. It does not guarantee anonymity or untraceability; fees, network metadata, and retained security records can apply.

CXCash

What is CXCash?

CXCash uses ZK-SNARK-based shielding to reduce transaction details exposed publicly on-chain. Privacy is not absolute and depends on implementation, wallet and network metadata, connected services, and user behavior.

How do I buy CXCash?

You can buy CXCash on CoinExchange.Cash by swapping a supported cryptocurrency for CXCash via the Private Swap feature, or by trading P2P with other users who have CXCash.

Is CXCash safe?

CXCash uses Aztec-related ZK proof technology. Users should verify the current network, published contract addresses, source code, review status, and risk disclosures before committing funds; a review is not a guarantee of safety.

Other Features

What is P2P Lending?

CoinExchange.Cash offers over-collateralized P2P crypto lending with contract-based collateral and liquidation rules. Eligibility, verification, asset support, and risk vary by activity.

What are Prediction Markets?

Prediction markets use pool-based pricing for supported events. Eligibility, verification, available markets, assets, and settlement rules vary by activity and legal requirements.
