Product Mechanics Vary
Prediction products may use pools, order books, market makers, contracts, or other pricing and payout mechanisms. Read the live market’s exact outcome, deadline, data source, resolution, cancellation, dispute, funding, fee, and payout rules. A displayed percentage may reflect positioning or pricing rather than a reliable probability.
Forecasting Limits
Research, base rates, statistical models, calibration, crowd estimates, and scoring methods can help organize a forecast, but each can be wrong or misapplied. Public information can be incomplete, manipulated, delayed, or already reflected in the market.
A mathematical expected-value or position-sizing example depends on uncertain probabilities, prices, liquidity, fees, taxes, and resolution assumptions. It does not establish an edge or tell a user what to buy, sell, or wager.
Liquidity and Exit Risk
A position may be impossible or costly to enter or exit. Pool size, spread, slippage, partial fills, fees, wallet availability, network congestion, market suspension, account controls, and legal restrictions can change. Do not assume an early sale or payout is available.
Resolution and Payout Risk
Verify:
- the precise outcome and any ambiguous or exceptional cases
- the authoritative data source and resolution time
- who can propose, approve, challenge, or change a result
- dispute deadlines and evidence requirements
- custody, contract, oracle, signer, and payout-funding state
- cancellation, refund, split, timeout, and recovery terms
A resolved interface state does not by itself prove a funded or final payout.
